BAKING

The following 2- to 3-hour pastry classes range from 130€ to 265€ for two to four guests staying at our B&B, La Belle Rose.

  • Sandra, of Moss Patisserie, shares her pastry-making passion in a class in her private kitchen where you can learn such Nouvelle Aquitaine specialties as gateau Basque and cannelés or, from other regions, financiers and madeleines. You can also learn how to make to the ever-popular tarte citron meringuée, Paris-Brest, and/or flan pâtissier. Sandra also has a large repertoire of gluten-free recipes if you’re interested.
  • Roxane, who also works in one of Bordeaux’s starred restaurants, will meet you in my home kitchen to take you through the steps of creating classic French pastries with a modern twist. You can see one of her classes on this vidéo:

WINE TASTINGS

Two young and passionate oenologues will open their personally selected wine cellars/boutiques or classes for you:

La Cave du Vigneron en Herbe with Aymeric

The Gastronome with Erica

Prices, of course, depend on the wines selected.

CANNING AND CONSERVING

Depending on the season and the number in the classes, the prices at La Grand Bouche vary from 60€/person for a 3-hour class to 199€/person (for a 8-hour weekend class of duck or pork preserving). These are mostly group classes in French and only occasionally given in English.
